The world is in need of compassionate, thoughtful young leaders, and basketball is a proven, powerful tool for unlocking them.
Sanctuary Hoops provides a fun, trusting environment where the wisdom of the game unfolds naturally for kids both in the game and in life itself.
Whether in a small group skill training session, or large programs centered around mental health, civic engagement, or communication, Sanctuary Hoops mentors and educates our players to grow into better teammates and prepare for leadership roles on and off the court.
Programs
Sanctuary Hoops has centered our Minnesota programming in an area that encompasses parts of St. Paul and nearby suburbs including West/South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights. The specific corridor where we’ve been able to engage youth extends from the west side of St. Paul through its nearby southern suburbs.
Small-group Pod Training
$250/6 weeks (up to 12 sessions)
Small group training pods are perfect for player skill development and cohesion as a group. Limited size means more attention for each player, detail oriented skill development, and an ability to compete in small sided games.
A culture of trust, hard work, and support built over weeks enables natural group conversations for difficult topics, or moments for deeper connection. At the end of each season, a showcase event celebrates player development in a communal, fun, and competitive setting.
We offer our programs to everyone, regardless of ability to pay, but this does not mean we only serve a lower income population. As the price of youth sports programming increases and often becomes a barrier for families, this leaves kids in an either/neither situation – either they participate at the elite level or they settle for under-resourced public programming. There is a massive gap in the middle for youth who deserve high end sports programs with elite training.
Saturday Night Hoops
$10/session or $150/season (3 months)
This pay-what-you-can program is for all players who love the game. Sign up today to reserve your spot. We offer group skill training and in-house competition in a positive atmosphere. Each session lasts 90 minutes, often with players asking if they can stay longer.
The only barrier is being able to get to the gym itself. 75% of Saturday Nite Hoops players were regulars, who missed less than 3 sessions over the 3 months it was offered. This is because of the positive but structured environment created for players to simply enjoy playing.
Private / Elite Coaching
$100/hour
1-on-1 private training, or training with an elite group of up to 5 players is offered on unique and limited availability. Players receive focused, detail oriented skills training to take their games to new levels.
Contact sanctuaryhoopsteam@gmail.com for pay-what-you-can pricing. Does not apply to private training.
